Fuer Martina,möglicherweise zu spät aber fuer andere WHV Halter sicherlich von Interesse und da bezahlt eigentlich immer der Arbeitgeber die Vermittlungsprovision.
Taschenrechner hat fast jeder.
Here's a quick update about our current jobs and clarification on visa changes for backpackers.
Tractor Driving Work in Western Australia
Seeding (planting) season is starting in April and we have many farmers looking for experienced machinery operators to drive air seeders. The positions last anywhere from 6-12 weeks and require candidates with previous large scale machinery operating experience and general mechanical skills. Some farmers are willing to train people on the machinery if they have a strong mechanical or welding background and can be helpful in the workshop.
These are great jobs as they will allow staff to do a lot of hours during seeding (80+ per week). Pay rate will be based on experience level. Less experienced operators requiring training can expect between $22-25/hour and experienced operators between $25-30/hour. These are live-in roles and accommodation is provided by the employer. Some positions also include meals.
The Job Shop works with the same farmers each year and only lists jobs with employers that we know have good work conditions and treat staff fairly.
Harvest Work in Western Australia and the Northern Territory
The wet season has been one of the wettest on record in Western Australia's north and for some areas since records began in 1893! As a result, the crops are not ready and anyone planning to travel to northern WA and the NT for regional work will need to be prepared to wait. The main harvest work from April / May onwards will be picking and packing melons and pumpkins, tree planting, pruning and weeding. For this type of work you will need to be physically fit and able to work in the heat. If you are already up north, get in touch with one of our offices and keep an eye on our website for information on upcoming harvest roles in the area.
Visa Extension for 417 and 462 visa holders
As of November 2016, people on a 462 Work and Holiday visa are able to extend their visa for another year by completing 88 days of work on a farm or tourism business in Northern Australia. Nothing has changed for people with a 417 Working Holiday visa and they still must complete 88 days specified work as defined by Immigration.
Many of our remote hospitality roles up north will count for visa extension for 462 visa holders but not for 417 visa holders. We will specify on each job description if the role counts for visa extension and for which visas.
Please consult the Australian Immigration website to confirm what work you must complete if you are on a 417 visa or a 462 visa.
There has also been a lot of talk and media around the possibility of Immigration extending the age limit for Working Holidaymakers from 30 to 35. That change has not been confirmed, so the age eligibility limits are still 18-30 years old.
Long Term Roles for Australian Residents
The Job Shop is not just a recruitment agency for backpackers and we have several clients recruiting for medium and long term roles that are only suitable for permanent residents. Some of our farms, cattle stations and tourism businesses are looking for permanent staff for ongoing commitments. All of these roles are listed on our website and will indicate the time commitment required.
As always, we post new jobs online on
www.thejobshop.com.au soon as we receive them and our staff are constantly updating the site and removing jobs once they have been filled.
