No More "Rego" Stickers in WA!

Just to let everyone know that in WA no more "Rego Stickers" (Registration) will be issued for light motor vehicles after 1 January 2010! see http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/licensing/yourvehicle/20161.asp. It is now no longer a requirement to display the sticker on the windscreen.

This is very good news for all overseas travellers wishing to extend their rego while travelling around Australia. Having to arrange for someone to send on the registration sticker from WA is now no longer necessary. Just pay your “rego fees” on-line or by telephone from anywhere in Australia (or the world).

PS: Presently this only applies to Western Australia as far as I know other states/territory have no plan’s to stop issuing windsceen stickers.
